NEW SPONSORS FOR SCORPIONS

SCUNTHORPE have secured new title sponsors in the form of East Riding-based business Ellie Rose Travel.

The company operate a fleet of over 40 vehicles providing Home to School contracts for the local authority and directly with schools and colleges.

They take over from Joe Henderson who completed a near 20-year association with the Scorpions through various companies with their KO Cup victory in October.

Promoter Rob Godfrey said: “Both (director) Shane and Mandy Houghton are very good friends not only of my wife Gail and myself, but also Scunthorpe Speedway as a whole. I’m sure many of our fans are aware of how much they help us and how often they are up the stadium.

“They’ve already given so much to our club and I’m delighted that they are our new sponsors. The Ellie Rose Travel Scunthorpe Scorpions has a very nice ring to it!  We’re already the defending Knockout Cup champions and we’d love to win some silverware under the Ellie Rose Travel banner. In any case, we’ll be out to have a good season and get their name out far and wide.
