NEW CO-PROMOTER FOR BANDITS

BERWICK have appointed Sarah Bulman as their new co-promoter – as she becomes the third female to take the role in the club’s 58-year history.

43-year-old Bulman has previously served the Bandits in a variety of positions, including most recently as child protection and safeguarding officer, in addition to medical and staff co-ordinator.

She follows in the footsteps of Elizabeth Taylor and Yvette Hope as previous female co-promoters at Shielfield Park, and she takes over the role vacated by Gary Flint who stood down during 2023.

Bulman said: “I think everyone knows that I love the club and everything it stands for. It’s going to be a big learning curve but with Jamie (Courtney), Steve (Dews) and Stewart Dickson alongside me the club is in good hands.

“Berwick is a very special place, very much one big family, and it is our job to build on those foundations while looking at ways we can make it even better and sustainable in the long term.

“I think it’s good to have women involved in running what is very much a family orientated sport. We can bring a new approach and different skillset to the task.”
