MONARCHS ON THE UP

EDINBURGH boss Alex Harkess believes last week’s away win at Scunthorpe can be the springboard towards the Monarchs securing a Cab Direct Championship play-off spot.

The Armadale outfit have risen up the standings after run of three wins in four, and victory at the Eddie Wright Raceway leaves them well placed in third with a handy gap over their rivals.

Harkess, whose side face Berwick on Friday, said: “I have felt the team was coming together in the last couple of home matches even though in both of these they fell away in the last three races.

“Hopefully we are going to go from strength to strength now after winning at Scunthorpe.”
