LUKE STAYING WITH SCORPIONS

SCUNTHORPE have announced the return of local youngster Luke Harrison for a third season with the Scorpions next year.

The 18-year-old, currently racing in Australia, stepped up to the Cab Direct Championship in 2024 and has continued his rapid progress, with manager David Howe feeling he should be a pivotal rider in the campaign to come.

Howe said: “I’ve not hidden the fact that my main aim is to win at home next year.

“After that, it is to try and get aggregate points and maybe a few away wins, but winning at home is a must. Luke, especially at home, gives us that middle-order strength.

“He is still learning and improving away, but at home he is a third heat leader, and the partnership between him and Connor (Mountain) will be very important. It’s where I’ll be looking for those big heat advantages.”
