LAMBERT: BRING ON TIGERS!

SCUNTHORPE captain Simon Lambert says the prospect of a BSN Series semi-final with Glasgow holds no fears for his side.

The Scorpions won the Northern group after an away win at Birmingham and a battling effort to secure an aggregate point against Redcar, along with two victories on their own circuit.

They will take on the Tigers at the Eddie Wright Raceway this Friday (May 12) with that meeting switched from a league match, and the return is at Ashfield on May 19.

Lambert said: “I don’t really think we’re fazed over who we get. We’ve got a good feeling in the camp at the minute, and we’re certainly a lot better on the road this year.

“For the club it’s good to make the semi, and obviously we want to push on and make the Final and get another two meetings.

“Glasgow is a track that I like, so I’m pretty good with that.”
