KERR TARGETS PREM RETURN

POOLE newcomer Lewis Kerr believes a strong start to the season will help him secure a team place back in the top-flight this year.

Kerr has joined the Cab Direct Championship treble winners for 2025 but has so far been overlooked for a ROWE Motor Oil Premiership place after completing last season with King’s Lynn.

He will still be active in the early weeks prior to the start of Championship racing, as he is named in the line-up for both the Ryan Douglas Testimonial at Leicester on March 22 and then the Ben Fund Bonanza at Oxford the following day.

Kerr said: “I’m really excited to be at Poole, probably the most excited I’ve been for a season in a long time. It’s about an hour and a half closer than what Berwick was last season.

“I was as surprised as anyone that I didn’t get a Premiership place, but as long as I prove I’m OK and start the season well then I think someone will come in.”
