JORGENSEN TARGETS COMEBACK

DANISH star Thomas Jorgensen says he is determined to be fit to return to racing in 2024.

Jorgensen suffered fractured vertebrae in a season-ending crash whilst racing for Berwick at Edinburgh in July, which also ended his Premiership campaign with King’s Lynn.

He has only recently been released from a specialist neck brace and has now been able to start jogging.

Jorgensen said: “When I was sat in the ambulance at Edinburgh in pain my first thought was this is a crazy sport and I’ve had enough.

“But next morning I began to wonder how long it would be before I could get back on a speedway bike!”
