HUGE WIN FOR TIGERS

GLASGOW continued to close in on Cab Direct Championship leaders Poole with a dominant 62-28 win over Scunthorpe at Ashfield.

The Tigers made it a maximum six points out of six across the weekend, and they are now just three behind the Pirates with two matches in hand.

Skipper Chris Harris scored a 15-point maximum with Danish youngster Villads Nagel unbeaten from four rides as he carded 9+3. Leon Flint scored 11+1 whilst Dan Thompson, Kyle Howarth and reserve Freddy Hodder were also paid for double figures.

Steve Worrall scored eight points from five rides for the Scorpions, who were restricted to one race advantage on the night.

Glasgow boss Cami Brown said: “The team is shaping up nicely now, and that was another powerhouse performance. 

“To win at Redcar and then get all the points against Scunthorpe is a fantastic 48 hours for the club.

“All the boys put in a great shift again. I felt it was going to be a hard battle because Scunthorpe have strong reserves, but the boys did a great job.”
