HIGH HOPES FOR BANDITS

BERWICK skipper Jye Etheridge says he has faith in the club’s 2026 line-up to mount a serious challenge for honours.

The Australian racer lives less than a mile from Shielfield Park and returns to the Bandits for an eighth season after spending 2025 with Cab Direct Championship rivals Workington.

Etheridge said: “There is no reason we can’t get to finals – or at least semi-finals in all of the competitions.

“To take my home club to finals as captain would be something special.

“Berwick always seem to just miss out – like they did last season – but if we can bring a semi-final to Shielfield against one of the big teams, then I think we’d pack the place out and have it rocking.”
