GLADIATORS WIN AS TIGERS FUME

PLYMOUTH defeated Glasgow 49-40 at Coliseum as the defending Cab Direct Championship holders were only able to add the aggregate point to their total.

Tigers boss Cami Brown was left angry by events in Devon, feeling decisions had gone against his side.

Despite a 15-point haul from skipper Chris Harris, they find themselves four points adrift of the play-off places, and that gap could increase on Sunday.

Ben Barker (14) and Dan Thompson (11+1) led the way for the Gladiators who continued a decent run of home form.

Brown said: “We never gave in all night. I waited to do the tactical substitute and that paid off.

“But we can look at this and that, but we still lost and that hurts. It’s a long way down for bad refereeing decisions to cost us the match.

“We are absolutely sick but we are not giving in yet. We will try and win everything now to stay in the play-off picture. There’s still a chance.”
