CHEETAHS SET FOR HOME RETURN

OXFORD boss Peter Schroeck has urged a big show of support when the Cheetahs return to home action against Poole on Wednesday.

Last week’s scheduled BSN Series fixture against Plymouth was postponed after the deal to stream greyhound racing from BetGoodwin Oxford Stadium was suddenly terminated earlier this month.

Cheetahs did make the trip to the Coliseum in the BSN Series on Saturday, and they are now set to race their first official home match.

Schroeck said: “We’ve built up something special over the last four seasons, but I’m sure everyone will realise we can’t take anything for granted.

“Oxford Speedway is a business and, at the end of the day, as with any business, you have work hard to ensure its success, and that is what is happening behind the scenes at the moment. We’re still here and we’re still running.

“We would love for the supporters to show in numbers and make a lot of noise and demonstrate the huge support that exists for this club.”
