CHEETAHS BRING IN RISS

OXFORD have completed a powerful heat-leader trio for 2026 with the signing of German international racer Erik Riss to team up with Sam Masters and Anders Rowe.

30-year-old Riss is already a familiar figure at Cowley as he enjoyed some strong performances for the club’s top-flight side over the past two seasons.

He has now agreed to join the Cheetahs in the Cab Direct Championship and insists the illness issues which ruled him out of the second half of this year’s campaign are behind him.

Riss said: “I am sure there are concerns, but I can assure you that I am back to full health.

“I now have a definite diagnosis and treatment for the problem, and I also know how to avoid it in the future.

“I am really happy to be back at Sandy Lane, it is a track I really enjoy riding on, and I think I do fairly well on it!”
