BORKE BACK TO BERWICK

BERWICK have added all-action Danish racer Bastian Borke to their 2025 line-up – giving them just two more places to fill.

The 22-year-old former Edinburgh rider was an instant hit at Shielfield Park in the Cab Direct Championship this year, but his campaign came to an end in a huge crash at Poole in May which left him with serious leg injuries.

Borke underwent surgery in his native Denmark to replace a nerve in the leg three weeks ago and is undertaking laser treatment in addition to hours in the gym as he looks to be fully fit for the new season.

Berwick promoter Steve Dews said: “Bastian was an instant hit with our fans last season and was consistently putting in big performances before his season ended so painfully.

“I think he is on a bargain average and has potential to improve that next year.

“Once we were happy that he was progressing to full fitness after his operation it was a fairly easy decision to bring him back to Berwick.”
