BEARS OVERCOME GLADIATORS

REDCAR picked up three more points in the Cab Direct Championship with a hard-fought 48-42 win over Plymouth at the ECCO Arena.

Pairs winners Charles Wright and Danny King were both in top form with Wright scoring an 11+1 paid maximum from four rides, whilst King picked up 14 from five.

Dan Thompson was superb for the Gladiators once again with 14 from six outings, as the visitors remained in contention until Heat 14.

The result means the Bears could still mathematically finish in the top four although they would be relying on significant favours from elsewhere to do so.
