BEARS IN POSITIVE MOOD

REDCAR co-promoter Jamie Swales has praised his side for their impressive season – with silverware still at stake this week.

The Bears reached the closing stages of all three club competitions having also finished third in the regular Cab Direct Championship table.

They started the season by winning the Championship Pairs thanks to Charles Wright and Erik Riss, and they now head to Poole on Wednesday for the second leg of the BSN Series Final with a narrow two-point advantage.

Swales said: “The fact that we are having these regular clashes with Poole is testament to the fact that the Bears are competing in every competition at the very highest level.

“That was our aim as we set out in this 2025 season, and we go into the meeting in a totally positive frame of mind.”
