BATCHELOR STAYS WITH COMETS

FORMER Grand Prix star Troy Batchelor will be back with Workington for a third season in 2026.

The 38-year-old Australian was one of the Comets’ first signings when they stepped back up to Cab Direct Championship level last year, and he took over as captain in the campaign recently ended.

The club have confirmed he will be either their second or third heat-leader with Jonas Jeppesen already having been recruited as their new No.1, whilst Tate Zischke and Vinnie Foord are also confirmed starters.
