BARKER STANDS IN

REDCAR have booked Ben Barker to guest in their Cab Direct Championship matches against Berwick this weekend.

Barker, who rode for the Bears in 2017-19, stands in for the injured Danny King in the home clash with the Bandits on Friday and will continue with the team when they head to Shielfield Park for Saturday’s return.

Manager Gavin Parr said: “We have Ben in the side this weekend and I am looking forward to seeing his leg trailing style around the ECCO Arena again.

“You know what you are going to get from Ben and that’s 110 per cent effort. Ben likes our track and the Berwick track so that bodes well for us.”
