BANDITS WIN; SCORPIONS CONSOLATION

BERWICK were impressive 56-34 winners over Scunthorpe at Shielfield Park – although the Scorpions held on for the aggregate point from the meeting.

A 28-point advantage from the reverse fixture was enough for the Scorpions to claim some reward, but it was a clear Bandits victory on the night, and they would have been closer to their ultimate target but for a chain failure for Jye Etheridge whilst they were set for a 5-1.

Recent signing Jordan Jenkins starred once again with 11+2 at reserve, being unbeaten in his first four rides, whilst Peter Kildemand scored 13 and Victor Palovaara added 12.

The visitors only had four scoring riders and all but eight of their points were accrued by Josh Pickering (16) and reserve Nathan Ablitt (10+1).
