BANDITS: TIME TO LOOK AHEAD

BERWICK promoter Gary Flint says it’s time to focus on his future – as they prepare to face two of their former riders this weekend.

The Bandits launch their BSN Series campaign with home and away clashes against Glasgow, who include last year’s Berwick No.1 Chris Harris and popular ex-Bullets youngster Ace Pijper.

Flint said: “To be fair, the Glasgow lads have probably done more laps around Shielfield in recent years than the current Bandits’ seven.

“Bomber and Ace were very popular – and hugely successful – members of the Bandits and Bullets in 2022 and are bound to get a warm welcome from the home fans.

“But speedway, more than any other sport, sees riders move on and it is up to the current Bandits to make become the new heroes for the Shielfield faithful.

“And there is no better place to start than against the Tigers.”
