YOUTH SUCCESS AT ARMADALE
EDINBURGH promoter Alex Harkess had high praise for the riders competing in the British Youth Championship after Saturday’s successful staging at Armadale.
Ben Trigger (500cc), Luke Harrison (250cc), Stene Pijper (125cc A) and Edward Davison (125cc B) took the individual honours in a meeting where 29 races were run in under three hours.
The only glitch on proceedings was an unfortunate crash in Heat 3 of the 250cc class in which Freddy Hodder suffered a suspected broken collarbone.
Harkess said: “It’s been a very entertaining afternoon and we’ve seen young riders with impressive skills.
“I hope this good work continues and we can help keep a flow of new riders coming into British Speedway.”
