YOUNGSTERS RACE AT PARDUBICE

GREAT Britain compete in the FIM European Under-19 Pairs Final in the Czech Republic this afternoon (Saturday).

Representing GB at the Pardubice venue are Sam Hagon, Joe Thompson and Ashton Boughen.

Both Thompson and Boughen will be making their Great Britain debuts whereas Hagon represented GB in this event in 2022 when it took place in Riga.

This event is a one-off final with eight nations taking part, and again both Poland and Denmark look particularly strong and start the meeting as favourites.

This event is held over 28 heats with each nation having seven heats and it looks like a tough start for the GB team as they face the three big nations in their first three heats – Denmark, Sweden and Poland.

The full line-up in draw order is: Ukraine, Czech Republic, Poland, Norway/Latvia, Sweden, Germany, Denmark and Great Britain.

There are a number of SGP2 Finalists taking part in this event including Belle Vue’s Norick Blodorn for Germany, Damien Ratajczak for Poland, Mathias Pollestad for the Norway/Latvia team, Nicolai Heiselberg of Denmark and Casper Henriksson of Sweden.
