YOUNGSTERS OFF TO MACON
TOP British youngsters are heading to France this week for two days of pre-season testing and practice at the Macon venue.
The Under-21 group includes Dan and Joe Thompson, Dan Gilkes and Drew Kemp, and several 125cc riders are also making the trip including reigning British Youth Champion Cooper Rushen.
And an added bonus for the 18 riders taking part will be the involvement of three-time British Champion Chris Harris, who will be on track and offering his support.
GB Youth boss Neil Vatcher, who leads the party, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for the riders to get on track and start their preparations for the new season at a European circuit.
“We have two full days planned with a mix of Under-21, Youth and NDL riders attending.
“The season is now only a month away so any track time at this time of year will give these guys a head start, and with Chris Harris attending as well, the guys will be able to call on his 20-plus years’ experience for any advice needed.”
