PAIRS FINALE FOR GB

THE fourth and final round of the FIM European 250cc Pairs takes place at the Polish venue of Bydgoszcz this afternoon (Thursday) – and the Great Britain pair of William Cairns and Cooper Rushen will be going all out for another big score to put pressure on the Sweden team for the bronze medal overall.

The draw has not been particularly favourable to the British team, who claimed a podium finish in Prague on Tuesday, as in their group they are up against Denmark – who have the current European Champion Mikkel Andersen – Sweden, with the SGP3 World Champion Ramus Karlsson, as well as a mixed nation pair of Hungarian Zoltan Lovas and Poland’s Pawel Sitek who is a Bydgoszcz home rider.

Two groups of five Pairs will be competing and to have any possibility of another podium finish Great Britain must be one of the top two scorers in their group.
