GB DUO ASSIST FUTURE STARS

FORMER British Youth Champions Tom Brennan and Leon Flint will provide the expert tuition at a Training day for riders competing in the 2023 series at Leicester on April 11.

The duo both advanced through the Youth ranks to become British Under-21 Champion and now have regular team places in the UK’s senior leagues as well as being part of the national set-up.

British Youth boss Neil Vatcher said: “It does feel a bit strange as it was not so long ago that it was Tom and Leon being invited to Training days, now they are helping me into educating the Youth Riders of 2023!

“Even though both riders are in the very early stages of their own careers, they have spoken to me previously about helping the next generation, and it was an opportunity that I did not want to pass by to have two young British riders who all the Youth riders will look up to, to come along and share some of their knowledge.

“Since sending out the invites for this event we have had a great response, and when we announced that both Tom and Leon will also be in attendance that has raised the excitement levels even more.”

In addition to the advice from Brennan and Flint, riders will also receive a pre-event training regime by Papa Luckman Fitness Group as they build up to the opening round of the British Youth series in early May.

Vatcher added: “These type of events that we run for the British Youth riders would not be possible without the support of our very loyal British Youth sponsors, of which we are very grateful. We also have great support from the members of the BSP Ltd.”

The Young Lions would like to thank their 2023 Series Partners for their continued support -Nuneaton Speedway Supporters Club, Wessex Marine, Foxbury Motors, Rentruck of Rochdale, Friends of Speedway, Gordon Pairman (RMCS Racing), Brian Royle Racing, AGF Plant Ltd, Northern Scaffolding Solutions, In memory of Speedway Nut, Ignite Insurance Brokers, as well as The Creative Doc Productions and KanDysoft Solutions.
