BRITISH YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP PREVIEW

THE  2024 British Youth Championship series gets underway on Saturday afternoon where the 250cc and 125cc classes are in action at Workington after the Comets’ Championship clash with Glasgow.

In an eagerly awaited series which will visit nine tracks across the season, some rounds will be hosted as second half events whereas the rounds at Edinburgh, Glasgow, Birmingham, Plymouth and Leicester will be stand-alone meetings.

In each class at the first round, nine riders will take part meaning a second half event of an additional 20 heats.

In the 250cc class 2023 SGP3 Finalist and previous British 125cc Champion Cooper Rushen will start as the pre-season favourite to win his first 250cc British Championship; however, all of the other eight riders will have a different opinion and will be aiming to claim their first title at this level.

Reigning British 125cc Champion Oliver Bovingdon will be the hot favourite to retain his crown in this class but will be receiving some tough competition from all the other competitors.

The series again has fantastic support on board which enables the Young Lions to give the riders as much support as possible.

After this round the series moves onto Plymouth on June 1, again for the 250cc and 125cc classes.

250cc Riders – Emerson Betty, Harry Fletcher, Cooper Rushen, Seth Norman, Caydin Martin, Liam Morris, Archie Rolph ,Jamie Etherington and Charlie Southwick.

125cc Riders – Oli Bovingdon, Rocco Webb, Lewis Hague, Archie Whitelam, Charlie Luckman, Rueben Marsh, Kane Newby, Casper Kluczniak and Kayden Mundy.
