PREVIEW: GLASGOW v SCUNTHORPE (CAB DIRECT CHAMP PO SF)

GLASGOW bid to chase down a 16-point deficit when they host Scunthorpe in the second leg of their Cab Direct Championship play-off semi-final at Ashfield tonight (Friday).

The Scorpions were 53-37 winners at the Eddie Wright Raceway a fortnight ago giving them a sizeable margin to defend as they look to set up a Grand Final decider with Poole.

Glasgow have Mario Hausl back at reserve after a recent injury absence, whilst Anders Rowe once again guests for the retired Kyle Howarth.

Meanwhile the visitors have Jacob Hook back from injury whilst Jody Scott guests for Luke Harrison who is competing in the European Under-19 Pairs Final this weekend.

Tigers manager Cami Brown said: “We will need to find our best home performance of the season. We’ve not hit 53 points in any fixture yet at Ashfield, the best so far was 52 against Berwick. But this is the time to hit 53 at least!

“We let it slip in the latter stages at Scunthorpe which was tough to take. We were doing a decent job of stonewalling by the halfway point. Then they pulled away. 

“Now on our own patch, we need to do the same to them but we need to do it from the off.

“We will need to dig very deep and I believe it can be done. The chat in the WhatsApp group is extremely positive.”
