PIRATES: NOW FOR THE DOUBLE

POOLE No.1 Richard Lawson says the Pirates will turn their attentions towards clinching a trophy double after wrapping up the BSN Series this week.

The Dorset side overcame a strong challenge from Redcar to regain the silverware on home soil on Wednesday, and now they await news of their opponents in the Cab Direct Championship Grand Final with Glasgow facing Scunthorpe today (Friday).

Lawson said: “Fair play to Redcar, they made it really tough for us and we had to really work for this title, but that is what Finals are all about.

“You find out what you’ve got and who your team-mates are and you couldn’t ask for much more, so it’s awesome and we are just warming up now for the league title!”
