JENKINS SET TO MISS CUP CLASH

BERWICK are set to go into the first leg of the MAXiCab KO Cup Final against Plymouth on Saturday without mid-season signing Jordan Jenkins.

The Bandits expect to be operating rider replacement for Jenkins, whose partner is due to undergo induced labour of the couple’s first child on Friday.

The rider replacement option gives the hosts additional rides for Victor Palovaara, Jack Smith and free-scoring reserve Reid Battye.

It will be the first KO Cup Final at Shielfield Park since 1979, and the club’s first since 1989, with the second leg at the Coliseum scheduled for Saturday October 10.
