YOUNG STARS MOVE UP

KING’S LYNN are up to third in the WSRA National Development League table with a draw and a win from Wednesday’s double header at the Adrian Flux Arena.

The Young Stars drew 45-45 with Leicester and then took all three points from a 56-34 win over Middlesbrough in the second meeting.

Jake Mulford scored 15+2 for the home side in the opener, with Freddy Hodder’s (12) win over him in Heat 15 helping the Lion Cubs force a draw which means mathematically they could still overhaul leaders Edinburgh in the title race.

Mulford and Simon Lambert both scored four-ride maximums for the Young Stars against Middlesbrough with Ben Whalley guesting for Dan Gilkes and scoring 13+1. Charlie Southwick top scored for the Tigers with nine.
