PREVIEW: LEICESTER v BELLE VUE (ROWE MOTOR OIL PREM)

LEICESTER and Belle Vue clash in a big top-of-the-table ROWE Motor Oil Premiership encounter at the Hydroscand Arena, Beaumont Park tonight (Thursday).

The Aces are six points clear after their win at King’s Lynn on Monday, with the Lions their nearest challengers and with two matches in hand.

Both sides have won their last four Premiership matches, although the aggregate point is hugely in the Aces’ favour with a 61-29 advantage from the reverse fixture.

Leicester return to full strength as Nick Morris makes his comeback from time out with a back injury, and Belle Vue are unchanged from Monday.

Lions manager Stewart Dickson said: “Belle Vue are in great form and I think this will be another really good meeting, and another big test for us.

“We’re confident going into the meeting that the way we’re riding at home we can take anyone on, because we look a decent team at home.

“It’s going to be a tough match and what we need to be doing first and foremost is scoring 46 points to get another win.”

Aces boss Mark Lemon said: “Picking up the wins on the road that we have done so far has really helped our position, but I think Thursday’s meeting at Leicester is going to be a real acid test.

“If we can get a result down there then it might well indicate where we really are, so let’s see what we can do there against a side who are strong at home.

“I’d certainly like to think that we won’t lose the aggregate point, although you never want to under-estimate these things in this game because it’s been done before.”
