PREVIEW: BELLE VUE v NORTHAMPTON (ROWE MOTOR OIL PREM)

ROWE Motor Oil Premiership leaders Belle Vue have injury problems to contend with ahead of tonight’s (Monday) home clash with Northampton.

The Aces’ form at the National Speedway Stadium has been exceptional in 2026 but both Jason Doyle and Peter Kildemand have been ruled out of the meeting after crashes on Saturday.

Doyle suffered rib damage in an incident during practice for the Grand Prix of Sweden, whilst Kildemand sustained a shoulder injury when he came to grief at Plymouth.

In-form ex-Belle Vue rider Ben Cook deputises for Kildemand and will team up with his brother Zach in the middle order, whilst the visitors are at full strength having drawn their last away match at King’s Lynn.

Aces manager Mark Lemon said: “Of course we want to win all of our home matches which is something we’ve managed to do so far and away we’ve got a couple of wins and aggregate points as well which is pretty crucial.

“Other teams are going to start catching up with July being a quieter month for ourselves so we’ll have a bit of a clearer indication at the end of this month I feel.

“But right now, we seem to be travelling quite well, we’re winning our home matches and we’re definitely a top two team, which bodes well for our first aim which is to make the play-offs once again.”

Foxes star Niels-Kristian Iversen said: “Belle Vue have a strong team, and they are top of the league for a reason. It’s obviously not ideal that they beat us at home (last Thursday), but we just need to keep working and I’m sure we’ll get there.

“The story of the season has been that we’ve had so many close meetings. We managed to get a little bit out of it at King’s Lynn, one point, and we just need to keep building and get these few extra points here and there.”
