PREVIEW: PLYMOUTH v OXFORD (CAB DIRECT CHAMP)

PLYMOUTH return to league action after last week’s MAXiCab KO Cup drama when they host Oxford at the Coliseum tonight (Saturday).

The Gladiators have secured their place in the Cup Final and are now seeking to enhance their position in the Cab Direct Championship – but they will do it without Ben Barker, who is out with a shoulder injury, and they will operate rider replacement to cover for him.

They have also named Ben Whalley in their official one-to-seven, and he comes in at reserve to replace Tom Spencer.

Oxford make the long trip south-west unchanged after a heartbreaking last-ditch loss at Redcar on Friday, where they lost an eight-point lead in the closing three heats to go down 46-44.
