PREVIEW: KING’S LYNN v BELLE VUE (ROWE MOTOR OIL PREM)

KING’S Lynn host Belle Vue in Monday’s sole ROWE Motor Oil Premiership fixture with the Stars looking for a second home victory.

The hosts defeated Sheffield at the Adrian Flux Arena a fortnight ago, whilst the Aces already have two wins on the board on their own circuit.

Lynn Rising Star Jody Scott has been ruled out after his crash at Northampton last Thursday, and newly crowned FIM U23 Long Track World Cup winner Jake Mulford comes in to guest against his former club.

Meanwhile the Aces bring in the in-form Kye Thomson to guest for the injured Peter Kildemand, with the Australian having scored 18+1 at reserve against the same opponents in the KO Cup last week.

King’s Lynn captain Chris Harris said: “I think it’s been going alright so far this season. There are places where everyone can improve, but it’s still the start of the season.

“Winning our home matches is vital and we need everyone to be chipping in. We know it’s going to be tough and I think every team this year is going to be hard, but we’ll keep battling away and hopefully get the win.”

Belle Vue boss Mark Lemon said: “We always target wins, and that doesn’t change. We want to go there and put our best foot forward – we have a good team and we are certainly capable.

“We’ve seen some positive signs from riders who perhaps struggled last year in Norick (Blodorn) and Tate (Zischke), and I think if we get a tune out of Kye it’s going to be a pretty entertaining meeting.

“Kye’s form this season doesn’t surprise me. The talent is there, he’s always been a good motorcyclist and now he’s taking his opportunity, and I’m sure he’ll be fine around King’s Lynn.”
