PREVIEW: EDINBURGH v GLASGOW (BSN)

SCOTTISH rivals Edinburgh and Glasgow meet for the first time this season when they clash in the BSN Series at Armadale tonight (Friday).

The clubs shared several dramatic encounters in 2025, and there has been a major transfer between them over the winter with Dan Thompson switching to the Monarchs camp after a strong season at Ashfield.

Mitchell Cluff also makes his debut for the home side, whilst the Tigers have three incoming riders in Mario Hausl, Kevin Juhl Pedersen and Sam Hagon.

Edinburgh boss Alex Harkess said: “I’m sure Glasgow will bring a fair crowd and I hope the weather is much better than it’s been.

“Glasgow’s team will depend a lot on their two new riders in the middle of the team, and certainly the Danish lad Pedersen looked very good round their place in the Bonanza.

“But it’s up to us to perform as we are capable of, that’s what it is all about. Hopefully that will happen. The man that won the matches for them here last year is on our side this time!”

Glasgow manager Cami Brown said: “It’s never easy going to Armadale, it will be an early acid test. But we will have our fans travelling through and on the third bend as usual making a lot of noise.

“Our boys have got to perform for them. We’ve got a decent record against the Monarchs recently but that means nothing now, we start from zero this season.

“I’m looking forward to seeing the lads together as a team, I’m confident we can do a good job.”
