BATCHELOR TO LEAD COMETS

WORKINGTON have confirmed Troy Batchelor has once again been named as club captain this season.

The experienced Australian is going into his third year at the GT Tyres Arena and he led the side in their Cab Direct Championship campaign in 2025.

Comets promoter Andrew Bain said: “ Troy was a fantastic captain last season. What people don’t often see if that even if he is not having the best of nights himself, he will continue to encourage the other riders and help them in the pits, offering advice and support throughout the meeting. That is exactly what you want from your captain.

“He leads by example on and off the track and we are delighted to have him back leading the team again in 2026.”
