BRITISH Speedway is saddened to hear of the passing of Michael Addison.

Michael’s initial speedway involvement came in the 1980s when his business connections meant he was an instrumental figure in securing the backing of high-profile companies who put their names to major events in the sport.

Having retired from the world of advertising, Michael was more recently a leading figure in the formation and operation of British Speedway’s All Party Parliamentary Group, which saw the sport represented in Westminster with regular consultation and an annual reception.

Michael had a real love for speedway, and after receiving the sad news of his passing on Thursday, we would like to send all of our condolences and best wishes to his family and friends.
