LIONS ARE RE-CHARGED!

LEICESTER manager Stewart Dickson says his side will be re-charged and ready for next week’s ROWE Motor Oil Premiership Grand Final.

The Lions overcame Sheffield by a single point in an epic semi-final which went down to the last of the 30 races, and they now face Ipswich as the two sides battle it out for the title.

Leicester stage the opener at the Hydroscand Arena, Beaumont Park on Monday, with the decider coming at Foxhall on Thursday October 9.

Dickson said: “We put a lot into the semi-final against Sheffield, and this week has given us the opportunity to recharge the batteries and galvanise ourselves.

“Ipswich have been away from their track for a while, but from a Leicester point of view we need to make sure we’ve got the energy levels up.

“I’m pretty sure we will have, and what I hope for more than anything else is that both clubs can get decent weather to prepare the tracks.

“I would like to be able to serve up something like we served up in the semi-final, because it would be nice to have a showcase Final regardless of who comes out on top.”
