PREVIEW: BLUE RIBAND, POOLE
POOLE’S 32nd staging of the famous Blue Riband Individual meeting tonight (Wednesday) has attracted title sponsorship from south-west speedway enthusiasts Thermohome.
The sponsors, who install renewable energy solutions, have put up significant prize money as the event returns to the Wimborne Road calendar for the first time since 2016.
In addition to the regular Pirates, the line-up includes the likes of Scott Nicholls, Adam Ellis and Danish star Kevin Juhl Pedersen who impressed at Workington on Saturday.
Former Poole rider Edward Kennett (pictured) defends the title in his first official speedway meeting since injury curtailed his season back in 2022.
Promoter Dan Ford said: “We are proud to have Thermohome on board and are very grateful to Sean Wilkinson for his commitment to this event.
“In past years the Blue Riband has often attracted some big named sponsors and it is a real honour that we have a region-based company lending their support as we bring back the event.”
