WOLVES WIN MDL

THE 2025 Midland Development League has been dominated by the newest side the WOLVES sponsored by former rider Neil Painter of PC Cables.

They have walked away with the title finishing eight points ahead of the Birmingham DUCTAIR Bulls with six aggregate points in their 19 point total.

In the main they have used the same four riders in their title winning side in skipper Ryan Ashcroft along with three teenagers in Harrison Rogers, Dylan Huthwaite and Harley Driscoll-Freeman. Hayden Watts started the season with the side but other commitments saw him unable to continue as a Wolf.

The league has once again given young riders valuable track time in a team environment with several having progressed on to the National League.

With Birmingham unfortunately losing their stadium plans are being hatched to ensure the MDL runs in 2026.
