FULL POINTS FOR GLADIATORS

PLYMOUTH moved off the foot of the Cab Direct Championship with 52-37 win over Workington in an entertaining clash at the Coliseum.

The Gladiators were always in control on the night, but the Comets came back into contention for the aggregate point thanks to a 5-0 in Heat 12.

However, the final three races were shared despite wins for Workington No.1 Troy Batchelor in Heats 13 and 15, and that was enough for the home side with Ben Barker and Scott Nicholls packing in for second and third in the decider.

Barker scored 13+1 and was unbeaten prior to Heat 15, whilst Nicholls enjoyed a solid meeting with 9+3. Batchelor top-scored for the Comets with 12.
