PREVIEW: BELLE VUE v LEICESTER (ROWE MOTOR OIL PREM)

BELLE Vue host Leicester in a big clash of third versus fourth in the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership in Manchester tonight (Monday).

The Aces are three points ahead of the Lions heading into the fixture, but they lost by 30 points on a recent visit to the East Midlands, making the visitors favourites for the aggregate point.

However, the Belle Vue top four were all in stunning form last week at home to Birmingham where they did pull off a 60-30 victory.

The hosts also welcome back Norick Blodorn after a brief spell on the sidelines with a knee injury, whilst Leicester continue to operate rider replacement for Luke Becker.

Aces Rising Star Jake Mulford is out with an ankle injury and is replaced by Will Cairns.

Aces boss Mark Lemon said: “We have to give great credit to the Lions for becoming a strong force in the Premiership. 

“But I’m very confident of what our boys can produce. It should be a very hard-fought contest. 

“It will be great to have Norick back. His solid scoring has been missed, and it takes some pressure off the less experienced boys. 

“We’ve had a couple of really strong home wins recently, now we want to keep that momentum going.”
Lions manager Stewart Dickson said: “I’ve never won at Belle Vue in my life, so it would be nice to try and win there!

“We do have a 30-point lead so at the very minimum I would expect a point, but the way the boys are going let’s see if we can get more.

“We’ve never turned up there with all of them showing the consistency they need. It’s one of those tracks that everybody can ride but you need to have the set-up spot on.”
