PREVIEW: IPSWICH v BELLE VUE (ROWE MOTOR OIL PREM)

IPSWICH host Belle Vue in a huge clash featuring two of the top three in the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership at Foxhall tonight (Thursday).
The Witches are top of the table, but the Aces are only one point behind with the sides level in terms of matches raced.

A recent meeting in Manchester saw Belle Vue win 52-38, giving them a margin to defend for the aggregate point, but an early-season trip to Suffolk saw them hammered 67-23 in the KO Cup.

Ipswich bring in Vinnie Foord to guest for the injured Jordan Jenkins in the Rising Star berth, whilst the Aces again operate rider replacement for Norick Blordorn who is ruled out.

Witches boss Ritchie Hawkins said: “We had a superb performance last time we were at Foxhall (against Leicester), and we are going to need another one against the champions. We want to get back to our best at home and show everyone what we have got.

“We know Belle Vue will pose a tougher test than they did earlier on in the year, you can see that from our fixture in Manchester last week.

“We need to concentrate on getting the two points first and if we get into a winning position then we can push on and try and get the aggregate point.”

Aces skipper Brady Kurtz said: “Our home form has almost been perfect, but the away meetings can do with a bit of work. 

“Hopefully at Ipswich on Thursday we can put in a good one. I would really like us to get some points from there.”
