PREVIEW: KING’S LYNN v LEICESTER (NDT)
NATIONAL Development Trophy leaders King’s Lynn look to extend their 100 per cent record when they host Leicester at the Adrian Flux Arena tonight (Wednesday).
The Young Stars recorded an emphatic 53-31 win when they visited the Hydroscand Arena earlier in the season, so the aggregate point is also available.
Jody Scott and Luke Harrison, who have both had senior experience with the club, lead the home side and the meeting also sees clashes between top 15-year-olds Cooper Rushen and Will Cairns, the latter at No.1 for the Fox Cubs.
Leicester have Harry Fletcher guesting at reserve after Caydin Martin stood down from his place in the team.
King’s Lynn manager Jason Pipe said: “Just because we won at their place by 22 points that day, somehow I don’t think it will be the same here.
“Since we last raced against the Fox Cubs, they now have a couple of riders back from injury and they can’t be taken lightly. They will come at us from the off, so we need to be on our guard from the very first heat.”
Leicester manager Jen Crossland said: “It’s going to be a very tough one, we know what a good side King’s Lynn are, and they showed it when they won on our track last month.
“But the boys will go there and give it their very best shot, and that’s all we can ask them to do.”
KING’S LYNN: Jody Scott, Ashton Vale, Max Perry, Harrison Rogers, Luke Harison, Cooper Rushen, Calum Mitchell.
LEICESTER: Will Cairns, Mason Watson, Ace Pijper, Stene Pijper, Sonny Springer, Max Broadhurst, Harry Fletcher.
