PREVIEW: BEN FUND BONANZA, OXFORD
OXFORD promoter Jamie Courtney says he’s delighted to be hosting the Ben Fund Bonanza at Cowley today (Sunday, 6pm).
The fund-raising event is firmly established on the domestic calendar and will be staged for a 15th time in support of injured riders, including those who regrettably suffer career-ending or even life-changing issues.
And it has attracted one of its strongest-ever line-ups including current and former Grand Prix stars Max Fricke, Jason Doyle, Maciej Janowski and Fredrik Lindgren, with many of the riders already present at the stadium for the 2025 ROWE Motor Oil Premiership Media Day.
Courtney said: “We may be Britain’s busiest speedway track, but we were always looking to make the space to welcome the riders, supporters and sponsors to what promises to be a memorable evening.
“I’ve seen first-hand the long-term assistance the Ben Fund offers to those who desire to race some of the most unforgiving motorbikes ever invented to provide entertainment for thousands of supporters, and it is important that we continue to support the fund in any way we can.”
