125cc CHAMP LINKS WITH LYNN
BRITISH 125cc Youth Champion Oliver Bovingdon has linked up with King’s Lynn as mascot for their new National Development Trophy team.
The 13-year-old has won the individual title in the last two seasons and will step up to 250cc racing this year, with his eyes already on league action when he turns 15 in 2027!
The Young Stars have confirmed their NDT fixtures will also include an extensive programme of second half racing as they look to give opportunities to the sport’s top young talents.
Bovingdon said: “I’m over the moon that I’ve been chosen to be the mascot for the King’s Lynn Young Stars, as it is an amazing track and a brilliant venue.
“They have done a lot and spent a lot of time helping upcoming youth riders to move forward in the sport over the years and they are one of the biggest clubs in British Speedway, and I’m looking forward to being a part of such a big club.
“It will be good to put in some practice laps and race around the Adrian Flux Arena, as I’m still getting used to the new 250 and I’d like to thank the King’s Lynn promotion and Young Stars team manager Jason Pipe for giving me the opportunity to be a small part of the team, and you never know, maybe one day not too far in the future I can be a Young Stars rider myself!”
