JESSICA HONOURED FOR SPEEDWAY COMMITMENT

ELEVEN-year-old British Youth rider Jessica Cox is celebrating winning a major local award.

Jessica recently attended the Halton Education Awards in Cheshire, where she was one of a number of schoolchildren to be nominated for the 2024 Sports Personality of the Year Award.

Having considered all the nominees, the local council decided that due to Jessica’s outstanding commitment to British Speedway, she would be the winner.

Jessica attended all seven British Youth rounds last season as well as competing in the Northern Junior League for both Workington and Redcar.

She attended Training Days including the British Youth camp at Workington last February, and the Women’s Training Day at Leicester in August, the day before the Women’s British Open at the same venue.

All at British Speedway send their congratulations to Jessica on winning this award, and we wish her well for continued progress in 2025.
