BRUMMIES’ PAWLICKI PROBLEMS
PIOTR Pawlicki has informed Birmingham that he doesn’t feel he can be a part of their final two league meetings.
The Pole failed to score in his last appearance for the Brummies, which was last Monday’s home defeat to King’s Lynn, and they wrap up their ROWE Motor Oil Premiership campaign with home and away clashes with Ipswich.
Birmingham CEO Nigel Tolley said: “Laurence (Rogers – Director of Speedway) received a long text off Piotr basically saying that he is still feeling the effects of the virus that he had a couple of weeks ago, that he’s essentially fatigued and that he doesn’t feel he can be a part of our final few fixtures.
“Obviously, we were beyond disappointed with his performance against King’s Lynn last Monday, but in this instance it’s irrelevant.
“With the transfer window shut, we can’t make any more team changes so we have told him that he has to commit to racing in these upcoming meetings against Ipswich.
“He has told us he feels he needs to stay at home and we have communicated this with the SCB to see where we stand.”
