PREVIEW: BRITISH YOUTH, REDCAR

REDCAR host the third round of the 2024 British Youth Championship for the 250cc class, and the second round of the 125cc class, before and after their Cab Direct Championship fixture versus Plymouth this evening (Friday).

The 125cc class will take to the track at an earlier time of 7pm prior to the Championship match, and then the 250cc class will take part as a second half event.

That event will consist of seven heats with Round 1 winner Oliver Bovingdon looking to stretch his lead at the top of the points board, with fellow first round rostrum place riders Lewis Hague and Rocco Webb also taking part.

The 250cc class is slightly larger in number with ten riders competing, including Cooper Rushen who has won both Rounds 1 and 2, as well as Seth Norman and Archie Rolph who also finished on the rostrum at the last round at Plymouth just two weeks ago.

This fixture is a start of a busy period for the British Youth Championship as after tonight the series moves onto Belle Vue next Friday (August 30), Leicester on August 31, and then Birmingham on September 2.

The Young Lions would like to thank the Redcar promotion and the Young Lions series sponsors for their continued support of British Youth Speedway.
