JANOWSKI IS KING OF POLAND

OXFORD Spires will welcome Maciej Janowski back this week as the Polish Champion after a sensational unbeaten display in Lublin on Saturday.

Janowski, who has recently put in key performances as his UK side chase the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership play-offs, secured the full 19 points from the third round of the series.

He overtook Patryk Dudek to win the Final and the result of the meeting saw him overhaul Dudek, Bartosz Zmarzlik and Dominik Kubera to reach the top of the standings for his third national title.

Janowski will be back at Cowley on Thursday when the Spires face a must-win encounter against King’s Lynn.
