PREVIEW: PLYMOUTH v POOLE (BSN SERIES)

POOLE need to score 33 points at Plymouth tonight (Saturday) in order to book their place in the semi-finals of the BSN Series.

The Pirates are hot favourites to progress after their 58-32 win in the reverse fixture, and they travel to the Coliseum with a full-strength septet.

A change of riding order for the visitors sees Sam Hagon briefly promoted into the top five with Tobias Thomsen switching to reserve.

Thomsen said: “I like being at No.2 because I like going out in Heat 1 and I want to race the big guys, but it is how it is, you’ve still got to win the races, and the number on the race-suit doesn’t really matter in the end as it all about just making the points.

“Hopefully I can go there and continue making the starts which are now slowly coming together. I know I am not quite there with them yet but it is all going in the right direction.”

Plymouth operate rider replacement for the injured Nico Covatti whilst Oxford Chargers rider Jason Garrad comes in for Kyle Newman who is unavailable with no facility for his absence.

PLYMOUTH: Nico Covatti R/R, Alfie Bowtell, Dan Thompson, Jason Garrad, Ben Barker, Joe Thompson, Jacob Hook.
POOLE: Richard Lawson, Sam Hagon, Zach Cook, Tom Brennan, Ben Cook, Tobias Thomsen, Max Perry.
SCB Referee: Gary Allen
